Chlorophyll printing is an alternative photographic process where photographic images are developed on natural leaves through the action of photosynthesis. The images are achieved by applying a transparency of a photo onto a leaf and leaving it out in the sun. Depending on the strength of the UV light and the amount of magnesium in the cells of the chlorophyll the prints will vary in time it takes to develop the image and the contrast in the final image. The images in this gallery vary in the exposure time from 2 to 6 hours. Chlorophyll prints are individually unique and unrepeatable.
